Matt Hopkins launched scubamunkies in early 2010 and has had this dream since falling in love with the sport in the mid 90's. "I always wanted to be an astronaut as a kid, that was until I realised it was far too expensive and not much to look at. I soon discoverd that there was a whole new world to explore down here!"- Yep diving. Matt has been diving ever since and has now logged over 7500 dives in a wide variety of climates and conditions. He has worked as a professional diver in numerous locations around the world, from the UK and USA to Africa and the Cook Islands, and has issued over 1300 certifications. Matt has been settled in Sydney for the last 7 years but still loves to travel. He has an enormous amount of experience as a diver and instructor but it is his true passion for diving - and for getting other people diving - that sets him apart. Scubamunkies fulfills a dream of his to teach people diving, at a price they can afford, so they too can learn to embrace his passion for the underwater world.
